This will be the official opening of the Gender & Global Grantmaking Workshop. This will have a brief program including introductions and gender and grantmaking story-telling, followed by a sit-down meal.

Sunday, June 7th
Gender & Global Grantmaking Workshop, Day One
9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Using a peer learning approach, we will discuss topics including:

• Unlearning Gender: Understanding gender equality within a social justice framework, moving beyond gender as 'women and girls'.
• Addressing barriers to gendered grant-making: looking at challenges on the personal and organizational level, in our relationships with grantees and at political and structural levels. This will include working on issues of cultural relativism, power, privilege and political correctness, among others.
• Celebrating and Learning from our Successes: How have we, as grant-makers, succeeded in advocating for gender equality in our own organizations, with our partners, with other grant-makers? How have we changed attitudes, beliefs or practices? Which of our strategies have worked and why?

Monday, June 8th
Gender & Global Grantmaking Workshop, Day Two
9:00 am - 5:00

Using a peer learning approach, we will discuss topics including:

• Tackling Barriers to Gendered Grantmaking: Looking at our capacities to make change
• Designing Individual and Organizational Strategies for Gendered Grantmaking: Peer to Peer strategy development and group discussion
• What Next?: Looking at next steps for gender and grantmaking for ourselves and for GWOB

Tuesday, June 9th
Gw/oB Conference Dine-Around on Gender & Global Grantmaking
5:45-8:00 pm
